Dr. Sharon Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Development Board (SVWDB), where she leads regional workforce solutions through strategic partnerships and resource development. She has authored grant proposals totaling more than $28 million and advanced work-based learning through on-the-job training and registered apprenticeships. Dr. Johnson has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives on apprenticeship-based workforce development and hosted congressional staff to highlight rural WIOA implementation. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Capital Development from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.S. from James Madison University.
