Goals of Event:
● Students connect and learn more about universities/colleges/trade schools, career
pathways and local businesses.
● Students learn of employment opportunities
● Businesses showcase employment opportunities
● Students learn to network with employers and universities/colleges/trade schools
● Universities/colleges/trade schools and businesses are provided the opportunity to
network with each other and with teachers/staff.
Your Role:
● Trade schools are invited to share requirements to apply and also to educate what
defines a trade school. It is encouraged for schools to bring an informational flyer for
students to take containing important information about programs, admissions, etc.
● Other universities/colleges are invited to share requirements to apply and also to
educate what defines a trade school. It is encouraged for schools to bring an
informational flyer for students to take containing important information about
programs, admissions, etc.
● Local businesses are encouraged to bring information about current employment
needs. This can be a flyer containing salary information, benefits package,
requirements to apply, work hours, and any other information. A signup sheet for more
information about your business or to set up a time to chat more is suggested to have a
record of student information.
● An interactive display is encouraged since it invites individuals to learn more about
your organization. If you need ideas please do not hesitate to reach out.
● We are asking if participating groups would consider donating a door prize item for a
drawing. Students will receive a bingo card to take to vendors they visit for a stamp that
will be provided. Students will turn in cards as they leave to participate in the drawing.
