Chad Coffey, a Swoope resident, lives in Augusta County with his wife, Rachel, and their son, Dalton. A lifelong Virginian, Chad was born and raised in Buena Vista and graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 1999 before earning a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Bridgewater College in 2003. Since 2021, he has served as Executive Director of RARO.
Chad dedicated 18 years to public education, including nine years as a Special Education Teacher at Buffalo Gap High School and nine years as a Health & Physical Education and Driver’s Education instructor at Riverheads High School. In addition to his work in education, he has coached high school athletics for 21 years, including basketball, baseball, and softball, helping mentor and develop student-athletes throughout the Shenandoah Valley.
